A small studio that got tired of subscriptions.

Walkthroughis a small software studio with one screen recorder and one strong opinion. We don’t have a Series A. We don’t have a Slack with channels for “vibes.” We have a customer list, a backlog, and a hard policy of not billing you twice.

·The story

It started as a spreadsheet.

In late 2025 we sat down and added up every SaaS we paid for to do our day jobs. The number was unflattering. The single line that hurt the most was for a screen recorder we used maybe four times a month.

We were paying every month, in perpetuity, to record our own screen, on our own machine, with our own voice — and to host the file on someone else’s server in exchange for a URL. The math wasn’t subtle.

“We didn’t want a better screen recorder. We wanted the version that didn’t bill us next month.”

So we built it. Native Mac and Windows. Chrome extension. One-time payment. Files go straight to yourGoogle Drive. We never touch them. We don’t need to scale a cloud, so we don’t need to charge you to scale a cloud.

That’s the whole company. There is no second product. There is no “platform play.” There is a small piece of software, finished carefully, sold for $19. If we run this for ten years and never sell anything else, we’ll consider that a success.

We will never charge you twice for the same software. This isn't a marketing position; it's the company's first principle.

We don't host, scan, archive, or back up your recordings. They live on your Drive and we never touch them.

If a feature can't be built natively well, we don't ship a worse Electron version of it. The wait is part of the deal.

One inbox, real people. No support bot. No “this case has been escalated.” If you write us, we wrote back.

Walkthrough is meant to be finished. When it is, we'll maintain it and stop adding things. That moment is the goal.
